Statistical warning
Statistical warning systems for emergency management
is a pilot project which aims at initiating collaboration with authorities responsible for emergency management and thus apply statistical warning system expertise for detection of e.g. bioterrorism. For a warning system to be functioning satisfactorly, both theoretical properties of the algorithms used and adjustment to the circumstances present when data are collected are required. A major aim is to apply the knowledge and theoretical competence of the project participants to construct systems for emergency alert in colaboration with others.
